The traditional way of celebrating the Holi Festival, is to wear white, wearing white on Holi signifies peace, purity, calmness and emotional healing. It connects with lunar energies, promoting positivity, unity, vibrancy, and soul purification during the joyous festival celebrations. 

The fabric used here is called Khadi, derived from khaddar, it is a hand-spun and woven natural fibre cloth, that was promoted by Mahatma Gandhi as swadeshi (self-sufficiency) for the freedom struggle of the Indian subcontinent.
